Giovanni Maria Garegnani

Born in Milan in 1960, Giovanni Maria Garegnani graduated in Business Administration from L. Bocconi Commercial University.

He is a Chartered Accountant and Auditor, and works as a valuation and financial accounting professional. He often serves as ex-officio technical consultant and party appointed expert witness in civil and criminal proceedings. He holds and has held positions in major companies and financial institutions as independent director, chairman or member of Boards of Statutory Auditors, and chairman or member of Supervisory Boards.

Since 2014, he has been full professor of Business Economics at Libera Università Mediterranea, and from 1991 to 2019, he was an adjunct professor at L. Bocconi Commercial University. He is Scientific Director of the magazine Rivista dei Dottori Commercialisti. He chaired the Governance of Listed Companies Commission of the Order of Chartered Accountants of Milan, and is a member of academic and professional associations. He is the author of monographs and numerous papers published nationally and internationally.
