A world-cup level cross-country skiing meet was held right in the centre of Milan, against the backdrop of Sforzesco Castle. "Race in The City", held on 14-15 January, was an incredible event for which a circular 620-metre course behind Milans famous Sforzesco Castle was filled with snow, providing two days of entertainment and sporting competitions for visitors. The race attracted a large number of curious onlookers and skiing enthusiasts, at this striking city-centre venue whose sponsors included Banca Generali.
