Banca Generali and LIUC: the results of the private banking observatory
The relationship of trust and critical success factors in private banking of the future.
These were the topics discussed last night during the event organized with LIUC - Cattaneo University at our BG Training & Innovation Hub in Milan where we presented the results of the Private Banking Observatory.
Opening the proceedings of the seventh edition was the president of the Observatory's scientific committee, Anna Gervasoni, who commented, "Transparency, skills and technology: these are the fundamental elements at the basis of the relationship of trust between banker and client where technology does not stand as a dominant factor but in support of wealth management. Our researchers also emphasize the importance of aspects such as listening to needs and the ability to anticipate trends that can prove to be useful tools for creating added value in the long run."
Also participating was our Deputy Managing Director Andrea Ragaini, who said, "The private banker's job is not only to support the client in investment choices, but to create a relationship of trust that is destined to last over the years. And trust is created and strengthened by showing competence, proximity, and the ability to provide adequate answers. Ultimately, that of the financial advisor is a job that requires skills not only in business interpretation, but also in technical interpretation, and in aggregating information from many sources. It is a team effort, in which individualities can best express themselves."
The 2022 edition of the Private Banking Observatory also featured contributions from two leading international investment firms that are characterized by a sustainable approach to investing: BNY Mellon and Capital Group
The Private Banking Observatory: how does it come about?
In 2014, together with LIUC - Cattaneo University, we founded the first permanent Observatory on Private Banking in Italy with the aim of monitoring the sector and delving into relevant issues by offering an accurate snapshot of the private savings market.
As part of the Observatory, together with LIUC we also created a proprietary index capable of determining the overall market trend and performance, constituting a valid and immediate analysis tool, a point of reference for the entire sector.
